How do I access my Canvas Account?

 * New Student - Once you have activated your Canvas access, you still will not be able to access Canvas until 4 days be fore the start date of your first course. You will not be able to see your course until the start date of your course. 

You will need to activate your Canvas account before logging in to Canvas. You will only need to activate your Canvas account once.

1. Visit the MDC Home Page: Go to mdc.edu.
2. Locate and select the "Portals" option on the MDC home page.
3. From the list of portals, click on "MDConnect" to proceed.
4. Use your MDC user name and password to log in to MDConnect. Once logged in, click "Sign In" to access your account.
5. Congratulations! Your account has now been successfully activated. There is a delay to Canvas access. See note below. 

**Please note: The process of syncing MDConnect and Canvas is not immediate. An enrollment file is run four times a day at 7 AM, 11 AM, 3 PM, and 7 PM. Depending on the activation time of your account, Canvas will create it during the next file run. If your account is activated after 7 PM, it will be available in Canvas the following day after 7 AM.
