What is the Canvas Student Mobile App?
The Canvas Student mobile app is a free, simple, easy to use, and enjoyable mobile learning app for the on the go, goal-oriented learner. The app is available for Apple and Android devices, and provides access to the following areas:
- Mobile Dashboard: View enrolled courses and quick access pending course items.
- Calendar: Check upcoming course events and deadlines all in one area.
- To Do List: Shows a smart view of prioritized events and actions.
- Notifications: View, post, and reply to your course's discussion boards.
- Messages: Stay in touch with instructors and classmates.

The Canvas Mobile App is available to all Canvas users with the following mobile devices:

Getting started
- Download the Canvas Mobile App from the iTunes app store or Google Play, depending on your mobile device. You can also use the download links above.
- After downloading and installing the app, launch the Canvas Mobile App and search for "Miami Dade College".
- After selecting "Miami Dade College", log in with your MDC user name and password, just as you would if you were accessing Canvas via the web.
- You can then easily access updates from your course, view course content, check your grades, and post in course discussion boards. You can also view notification badges based on course updates and school announcements.
- Navigate through your courses as you would normally, and then exit the app when you are finished.
